Client has four children aged 11 to 17. Her eldest child is in ITE and requires a laptop. ITE has provided him with $1.1k fund for the laptop, however, he is required to pay upfront for the laptop while the school reimburses the $1.1k to them thereafter. The family faces challenges forking out the $1.1k upfront. Seeking assistance for a second-hand laptop.

Elderly client is living at home with the assistance of a helper and relies on her limited personal savings to sustain daily expenses and caregiving costs. Family support is limited as most children are estranged. The only daughter who maintains some contact is currently facing financial difficulties as she is the primary caregiver for her sick husband. As the elderly is largely alone at home apart from the helper, a CCTV camera is requested to enhance home safety and allow basic monitoring of the client’s wellbeing.

Two gentlemen living in a one-room rental flat are in need of a washing machine. One of them is unable to work due to ongoing health issues, while the other relies on irregular odd-job work whenever opportunities arise. With their limited income, they are struggling to cope with daily expenses, and purchasing a washing machine is simply not affordable for them at this time. A donated washing machine would go a long way in easing their day-to-day challenges. It would not only help them maintain cleanliness and dignity, but also provide some comfort and relief in managing their daily lives during this difficult period.

Client did not complete her secondary education and is keen to improve her employability through skills learning. This is a family with 6 children, 2 secondary-school going boys and 4 girls who are aged 6 and below. Two of the girls are a pair of twins with special needs, attending both preschool and an EIPIC centre. The mother has been diagnosed with anxiety, following a series of deaths in her family, and is currently medically unfit for work. The father is her appointed main caregiver and is therefore also unable to work. The family has been relying on MUIS cash assistance to meet their daily needs; however, their assistance has recently ended and they are currently awaiting the renewal outcome. During this interim period, the family is experiencing significant financial strain and would greatly benefit from support in the form of diaper donations as her 3 younger girls are still not toilet-trained.
