She is unable to wring clothes due to arm pain thus she has been stepping on clothes for the past 3 years. Recently she felt weaker and feel the need to have a washing machine to help her with this daily task.

The household comprises a 41 year old father, a 42 year old mother, and six children, with five younger children aged between 7 and 15. The family’s existing oven has spoiled and they are unable to afford a replacement due to current financial constraints. The father was only recently retrenched in early July 2026 from his full time employment as a delivery driver and is currently actively seeking new employment. The mother has never been in employment and has been a full time homemaker caring for the children due to their current age. With the loss of the father’s income, the household’s finances have been significantly impacted. Given the large household size, a functioning oven would be a practical and essential household appliance to support more efficient preparation of home cooked meals. This would help the family meet daily meal needs, reduce reliance on outside food purchases, and lower overall food expenditure, thereby supporting the family’s financial resilience during this period.
