Grant a Wish

Client and her daughter are unemployed due to medical issues. They have no source of income and relies heavily on financial assistance schemes. Their refrigerator has become faulty which becomes inconvenient for the preparation of meals. They are unable to purchase a new refrigerator.

Client lives in a rental flat with her eight children (aged 2–12). Aside from being a single parent juggling her children's basic and emotional needs, she is unable to work due to poor health resulting from previous pregnancies. The family is fully reliant on financial assistance and requires support with drypants for her two youngest children to help meet their essential daily needs.

Family of 3 living in a 1-room rental flat. Client is the sole breadwinner earning limited income while daughter cares for her ADL-dependent husband who has dementia. Their fridge has broken down and they are unable to afford repairs or a replacement. A donated fridge would greatly ease their financial burden by allowing them to store groceries and cook, reducing daily expenses.

A 10-year-old boy has expressed a wish to own a fixie bicycle. However, his family's financial circumstances make this difficult to achieve. The child lives in a five-member household with his mother, who is the family's sole breadwinner as his father is currently incarcerated. She works at McDonalds and supports the household on a modest income while meeting the family's daily living expenses. Given the family's financial situation, purchasing a bicycle is beyond their current means. Fulfilling this wish would provide the child with an opportunity for recreation and physical activity, while bringing him joy during a challenging period for the family.

Client resides with her adult son in a HDB public rental flat and has been unemployed for over five years due to multiple medical conditions. Her husband, previously the family’s sole breadwinner, has been in a nursing home for the past three to four years following a stroke. Her son, who is still studying in ITE, works part‑time to support basic household needs, but the family continues to face significant financial hardship. Client's glass dining table, which she received from donation, was broken by her grandchildren when they came over to visit. As such, Client does not have a place to eat her meals, causing disruptions to meet her basic needs. Hence, Client would appreciate the donation of a pre-loved dining table and chairs to allow her to eat her meals comfortably with her family.

Family of 4 struggling with finances and are reliant on father who is the sole breadwinner of the family. Their rice cooker had spoilt recently, and they are hoping to obtain a new/pre-loved one (halal if pre-loved).

Client is a single parent with 5 children, aged 9 to 18 years old. Client needs a chest of drawers or wardrobe to fit all her children's clothes. Client is working but her income in insufficient to purchase a new drawer or cupboard for the children.

Family has a child in secondary school who requires a laptop for school work especially for home-based learning. His currently laptop is not working and the school is not able to issue another laptop. His mother works ad hoc jobs as a cleaner as she is the caregiver for her son with depression, and father is recently released from prison and started working as a care assistant for Carewell Ambulance.
