Grant a Wish

I am writing on behalf of my client, who is in urgent need of a cell phone donation as her current phone is no longer functioning. She is actively seeking new employment and requires a working phone to communicate with potential employers and attend to job-related matters. Unfortunately, the family is currently facing significant financial hardship — my client recently lost her job and her husband was also retrenched around the same time, leaving the household without a stable source of income. Given these circumstances, the family is unable to afford a replacement phone at this time. A donated phone would make a meaningful difference in supporting my client's efforts to regain employment and help stabilise her family's situation.

Client is a young mother currently expecting her second child. The family has recently secured a rental flat but is unable to fully move in as they currently lack essential household necessities. Her partner is engaged in irregular employment, resulting in an unstable income that is insufficient to fully support the household at this time, particularly after recent expenses such as the rental deposit and activation of utilities (electricity and water). A standing baby bathtub would support the safe and practical care of the newborn while easing the client's caregiving responsibilities during the postnatal period.

Client has expressed a wish to have a television, as she is currently unable to afford one due to limited financial resources. She is unemployed because of her medical conditions and lives alone without any family support.

The client (M/65) has been struggling with mental health challenges over the past 10 years. His mental health struggles have impacted his work functioning negatively, which led to his financial difficulties. He currently lives alone and has been separated from his son who has been resided in Boys' Town since he was 6 years old due to his poor mental health condition. The client's gas stove has spoilt which led to him unable to prepare meals for himself at home and client could not afford to buy a new one due to his ongoing financial strain.

Client (F/21) is a young single mother to two daughters under 4 years old. She is currently staying at her adoptive parents both of whom are not working and are assiting client with caregiving for her daughters, in their two-room rental flat. Client's adoptive father has retired and has recently suffered a stroke. Client is working full-time in F&B. The family is thus facing a lot of financial contraints. Your donation would greatly help ease their burden. Donation of any quantity is very much appreciated.

Client is the primary caregiver for her elderly mother and 16-yo daughter. She is unemployed and has been granted MC for 6 months due to her mental health conditions. Husband is the sole breadwinner, working as a delivery rider. Family is struggling financially.

Client's son(m/16) is a cancer(Leukemia) survivor patient. Client's son(m/9) is diagnosed as special needs. Client experienced power trip recently which resulted in faulty fridge. Client requires the fridge urgently due to storage for son(m/18) medications. Husband is working as Foodpanda delivery and is a low income earner.

Divorced grandmother caring for her 11-year-old granddaughter is seeking a handphone to help her stay connected and ensure her granddaughter's safety. The family has been impacted by the incarceration of the grandmother's only son and faces financial challenges. The child is active and enjoys participating in community activities. Following the loss of her handphone, her grandmother has found it difficult to keep in contact with her when she is out.
