Grant a Wish

Member currently resides in a 2-room rental flat with her 4 children. Due to space and resource constraints, not all children have access to a bed. Member hopes to obtain two single-sized beds to improve the children’s sleeping arrangements and comfort. She has managed to secure double bed bunk bedframe donation and hopes to have the beds too for the children to sleep on.

I am seeking donation of a digital ready television for my client, a 76-year-old gentleman who is divorced, retired, and lives alone in a 1-room rental flat. He currently does not have a working television and has expressed feeling bored at home. My client has no social support and minimal social engagement, preferring to keep to himself. Having access to a television would provide meaningful entertainment, companionship, and a source of daily engagement, helping to reduce feelings of isolation and improve his overall wellbeing.

Family has 7 young children, who need a washing machine as theirs has just broken. Mother is working full-time but faces financial challenges due to the caregiving demands of 7 schoolgoing children.

Client is 62 years old, staying with her son. She was diagnosed with Uterine Cancer in 2014 & 2021. Due to the side effect of the treatment, client has difficulties walking. She needs to use diaper and under pad regularly as she has lost control of her bowel movement.

Client, 28 years old, is a homemaker and caregiver to her 4 young children (ages 2-8). Her husband is the sole breadwinner but earns an irregular income due to the nature of his job. The family resides in a 2-room rental flat and has financial constraints. As their children are growing older, they need more space in the house and more privacy for parents and older two sons. We are working with the parents to rearrange their sleeping areas to ensure privacy and safety for all members.

A family with four children is in need of three single mattresses and one queen mattress. One child with special needs experiences frequent nighttime accidents and needs the single mattress more urgently. The family is currently facing financial hardship, as the husband is working part-time and the wife stays at home to care for the children.

My 77-year-old patient with late stage cancer would like to get a TV, as he is homebound and unable to go out of the house. It would help with his quality of life. Family is facing financial challenges as there is no income earner since his wife is the sole caregiver while their son has just started his diploma studies. Bachelor is staying in Highpoint halfway house. He has completed his one year program, and is now staying on as a helper. He is 55 years old and is 125 kg. He heeds a super single bed with bed frame due to his size and weigh. He will bring it back home when he secure his accommodation.

Client and husband have been seperated for 2 years. Client is not work and only source of income is SSO. Client is medically unfit to work due to knee issues. She used to send her children to school on a PMD but her children have preferred to cycle to school. One of their new bicycle has been stolen. Hence, need a new one before school starts.(Fah)

Family consists of a single mother with her daughter. Mother is having serious asthma issues due to the smoky environment from daily incense burning in her estate. She is unable to breathe well every day and requires an air purifier to help clear the air in her house to improve her health.
