Yishun Family Service @ Children’s Society is seeking support for a halal refrigerator for a family of seven. Both new or gently used items are welcome. This request comes from a client whose existing refrigerator has broken down and is no longer repairable. A functioning fridge is essential to help the family safely store food and meet their daily needs. Kindly note that delivery will need to be arranged directly by the donor. Client reported ongoing depression and a chronic skin condition since 2017, with no significant improvement despite ongoing medical treatment. 69-year-old man who lives alone in a 1-room HDB public rental flat and faces significant health, financial and social challenges. He is single, never married, with no children and no siblings. He is currently unemployed, has no regular income and experiences multiple medical conditions, diabetes, hypertension and depression. He spends most of his time at home due to his declining health and sleeps on an old, thin, worn and torn mattress that is infested with bed bugs. Client is troubled by bedbug bites and is unable to sleep as a result. Donation of a new mattress will greatly support client in addressing concerns with bed bugs at home. He is single, never married, with no children and no siblings. He is currently unemployed, has no regular income and experiences multiple medical conditions, including cardiac issues, epilepsy, Hepatitis B and C, malnutrition, frailty and a history of falls. He spends most of his time at home due to his declining health and sleeps on an old, thin, worn and torn mattress. Thank you

Client is a 72 year old Malay elderly who has recently moved into a rental flat with barely any furniture for her to live comfortably with. Having a Single bed frame will ensure that client is able to remain safe in the community/her home. Client ambulates with her motorised scooter in the community and quad stick /walking frame at home. She also has multiple health conditions such as hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, diabetes, and was previously diagnosed with cervical cancer. Client's legs are also weak, and she is unable to walk much in her home, requiring more rests. Having such household item will help her with settling into the rental flat sooner given her health and mobility issues.
