Grant a Wish

Family consists of single mother and her daughter. They come from a low-income household and living in a 1-room rental flat. Mother has chronic health conditions and daughter is her sole caregiver. They need a new queen size mattress - thick and without spring, as mother has chronic back pains and needs a thick mattress for her comfort when she sleeps.

Client is unfit for work due to multiple health issues and suffers from depression. She is relying on husband for living expenses, who have difficulties seeking for job due to his old age and own helath issues. The husband is seeking for second hand laptop and phone to help in his job search. His current phone is faulty as he used it for 30+ years.

Family of of 7 (5 children incl a 9mo infant, 2 parents) struggling to make ends meet as mum has to care for the young children and father is waiting for be incarcerated, hence both parents are unable to work.

Mother and child are survivors of family violence. They are currently staying at a shelter. 3-year-old child does not have a pram and mother has to carry him around everywhere. A pram would help to make it easier for her and her child to get around.

Client's niece has difficulty squatting and so is requesting for a top-loading washing machine. Client has now transited home on Long-home-leave after a 6 months residential stay at HCSA Highpoint. He will be on curfew for another 18 months.

The client is a 22-year-old single mother to a 4-year-old son. The client shares distant relationship with her mother and receives limited support from her. She is currently working on ad-hoc basis and hence, income hasn't been consistent. The client had requested for a vacuum cleaner so as to make her home cleaner to celebrate Hari Raya, and to ensure the home is in a good condition when she welcomes her guests/ visitors when they visit her and her son.

Single parent family with 3 sons in preschool/primary school. Mother lost her job and is in process of job searching. The current washing machine is producing odd noises and on the verge of breaking down.

Family of 6 living in a public rental apartment, client had just been retrenched after suffering from a workplace injury. There is a newborn baby resulting in additional expenditure at home. Family is in need of a TV as the old item is no longer working.

Client is a young mother currently expecting her second child. She is in the process of securing a rental flat and is temporarily staying with relatives. Her partner takes on irregular jobs, resulting in unstable income that is insufficient to fully support the family. Recently, their baby stroller is spoilt and they are unable to fix it. Support in the form of a baby stroller would help meet the family’s basic needs during this period, as they work towards stabilising their housing situation.

Client is 25 year old single mother of a 2-month old infant. She has estranged ties with her family and hence does not have any stable accommodation. Currently, she is seeking shelter with her grandmother at the latter's 1-room rental flat. She has no savings, relies on SSO financial assistance and her partner's income as a part-time warehouse assistant.
