Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to request donation support for one of my elderly female clients, who is 91 years old, lives alone, and is physically frail. Due to her age and ongoing health concerns, she is unable to work and currently has no source of income. Despite being careful with her expenses and making every effort to save wherever possible, she continues to experience financial difficulties each month. The ongoing financial stress has also affected her emotional and mental well-being. Due to her physical frailty, she frequently experiences body aches and relies on medicated oils to relieve her muscular discomfort. As she uses these regularly, she needs to replenish them from time to time, which has become an additional financial burden. She also has a poor appetite on most days and shared that drinking chicken essence helps her to feel less tired. However, due to the cost, she is hesitant to purchase it regularly. In addition, her room standing fan is currently spoiled. Given Singapore's warm weather and her frail condition, having a functional fan is important for her comfort and well-being at home. I have obtained her permission to reach out for support on her behalf. Mother is a homemaker and is the sole caregiver of two school-going children, both of whom have been diagnosed with chronic illnesses. The family of three resides in a one-room rental flat. Their existing refrigerator has broken down, and mother is currently seeking assistance with a replacement refrigerator of a suitable size to store food and meet the household’s needs.

Client is undergoing a divorce and functioning as a single mother caring for 2 children, with 1 child with special needs. She is hoping to get a bicycle so she is able to do Grabfood to earn additional income for the household.

Client is a full-time caregiver for his senior mother with dementia as well as bed-bounded brother. Client desires to work part night shifts to supplement family’s income on top of his caregiving duties. Currently, he does not have a phone and has been relying on home phone but a mobile phone is needed for him to be added into a WhatsApp group for his work, as details of the schedule will be posted there and updates of new job opportunities will be posted there too. Client is a 36 year-old female who will be released from prison soon. She is seeking support for a handphone as her old one is faulty. A handphone will greatly ease her financial strain and support with her upcoming reintegration, communication with family & professionals, as well as online applications for jobs and other forms of assistance. Client is a young first-time single mother. She is currently working full-time while pursuing part-time evening studies to improve her qualifications and secure a better future. She requires assistance with a sofa bed to improve her sleeping arrangement at home.

The client's grandson (M/12) is currently in Primary 6. The client shared that his school backpack is damaged, but she is unable to afford a replacement due to financial constraints. The grandson lives with her, is filial, and has demonstrated good academic performance. His current backpack is a wheeled model that is heavy and uncomfortable to carry. A large-capacity, non-wheeled school backpack is requested to better support his daily schooling needs.(JM)

Family consists of mother, who is blind with multiple chronic medical conditions and on dialysis, and daughter who is her full-time caregiver. Family relies solely on financial assistance and is unable to afford an air purifier, which they need as daughter suffers from asthma.

Senior client in his 80s is estranged from his family and on his own. He is currently living in a transition home and is diagnosed with pancreatic conditions and require adult diapers to help him better manage his incontinence and to prevent him from having to get up in the middle of the night for toilet trips. Senior is employed however work and income is not guaranteed. Your generosity will help him a long way in keeping safe and saving for his daily bread.
