She suffers from chronic spinal issues after a major spine surgery in 2024, which is worsened by her poor health and epilepsy. As she is not Singaporean, she does not receive medical subsidies and cannot afford to buy medical and mobility aids. The brace will help relieve some of her pain while moving and assist in moving and her daily activities.

My client is a single, 87 year old lady who lives alone in a 3-room flat in Boon Lay. While she tries to keep herself active in the community by attending talks and joining in activities at the Community Centres, one thing she has not been able to do is watch the daily news on TV. My client is not very mobile phone literate, hence she used to rely quite a bit on watching the news on TV, in order to be updated daily on the latest happenings. As she has retired a long time ago and just getting by on her limited savings, she did not have the financial means to purchase a working TV to replace her broken down TV.
