Client, F/43, is married with 3 school-going children (13, 11, 9). The family is facing severe financial difficulties due to debts that they are struggling to pay off and high financial commitments (child maintenance amount). They have tried to apply for a reduction of the payments to better manage their family's financial needs but it was unsuccessful. Instead, there are legal implications when they cannot afford the payments, resulting in a loss of income when they cannot work. This further entrenches them in a cycle where their ongoing financial commitments make it difficult to clear their debts, keeping them stuck in a financially tight situation. However, parents have been very motivated to improve their situation. They made tremendous efforts to pay off some of their debts through work, but continue to face financial inadequacy. They would benefit from the above items to improve their quality of life.

Client experiences VTH (Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada (VKH) syndrome) where she experiences inflammation in eye causing blurriness amongst other physical ailments. She is main caregiver for three children (F12, M12, F9). The three siblings currently share a smaller wardrobe and make do with drawers due to lack of space in wardrobe. However as they are growing and oldest daughter is undergoing puberty, privacy and clear boundaries of their own belongings are important . Providing a taller and wider wardrobe will allow children to have a more organized home environment as well as using the drawers for other belongings (eg school materials, non-clothing).
