Grant a Wish

We are seeking support for an elderly couple who are currently living in a 1-room rental flat. The couple has no children and relies solely on each other for support. The wife, a Permanent Resident, suffers from chronic knee problems and is unable to walk long distances comfortably. Recently, the husband experienced a serious fall that required surgery. As a result of his injury and recovery needs, he lost his job and is currently unable to work. The family is facing financial difficulties and is presently awaiting the outcome of their application for financial assistance. Despite their circumstances, the couple remains remarkably resilient and frugal. They are not accustomed to purchasing new items and make every effort to repair and reuse what they have. Rather than replacing torn clothing, they carefully sew and patch them to extend their use. They are humble in their needs and are simply looking for functional household items that can improve their daily living. Their current dining table has become unstable and poses a safety concern. They are therefore requesting a simple foldable table that can provide a safe and sturdy surface for their daily meals and activities. In addition, their chest of drawers, which is over 20 years old, has deteriorated to the point where the drawers are difficult to open and close, making it challenging for them to access and organise their belongings. Client currently does not have a kitchen shelf/ cabinet, hence she is hoping to get one to better organise the kitchen space. This could be helpful as she will also be giving birth soon in Aug26 and hopes to reorganise the living space at home to make it more conducive when baby is born. Client's preference is similar to a kitchen storage rack/ bakers rack with cabinet in approximately 120 cm × 30 cm × 139 cm in dimension.

Family is allocated a rental flat recently and require household items for their flat. Client hopes to receive wadrobe to put her and her children clothes.

Must include hanging space for clothing This wardrobe will greatly support the family in organizing and safely storing their clothes. Delivery will need to be arranged by the donor. This is a low-income single parent family. Client [55] and daughter [19] has recently shifted into her new flat and is seeking support to furnish their place with basic furniture. They have been dependent on hand me down furniture, but these are still insufficient for their basic needs. Adding to their challenges, the Client faces ongoing health issues and mental health struggles, making it even more difficult to afford the essentials necessary for a comfortable and stable life. This support would help the family to settle into their new place and provide the stability they need to focus on their education and work. Please note that client would need support in the delivery and costs involved as well.

Single mother of 2 primary-school going children 9 AND 8 year olds. She has several health conditions both mental and physical (i.e. heart valve issue, requiring long-term medical treatment). This has made it difficult for client to maintain long-term employment and she relies on the cash she earns from her adhoc food deliveries (with food panda), her mother's support and SSO ComCare assistance. She would benefit from a wardrobe with large storage as she currently does not own one and finds it difficult to store all her clothes and children's clothes.

Client is a single mother with 2 young children. She requested for second hand items as she is currently unemployed and solely relies on social assistance. Requires a mattress as their current one is worn, and a sofa for more comfortable seating for herself and children.
