Grant a Wish

Single elderly whose oven that she has used in the past 12 years has spoiled. Would like to have an oven so that she can continue cooking.

single mother of 2 primary-school going children 9 and 8 year olds. She has several health conditions both mental and physical (i.e. heart valve issue, requiring long-term medical treatment). This has made it difficult for client to maintain long-term employment and she relies on the cash she earns from her adhoc food deliveries and SSO ComCare assistance. She would benefit from a new washing machine as hers was spoilt and she has been going to the laundromat to do her laundry for the past month

Client is on long-term MC for 6 months, husband is the only sole breadwinner. The family consist of 8 members with 6 school-going children aged between 6 to 14. The family is currently receiving insufficient finance support. Client's husband employment is unstable and he is currently employed on a contract ad-hoc basis, with subsequent reviews to ascertain whether he can continue his employment. Client is currently receiving counselling and emotional support with regard to other psychosocial, emotional issues eg parenting, caregiving and stress management to assist her to cope with the current systemic stressors from various areas. Client request for a oven to bake cookies as she has just started home baking, this is to supplement her income and financial needs and also contributes to her sense of efficacy and sense of self.

This is a family of 6 comprising of client, her husband and 4 young children. Client is also currently pregnant with her 5th child. While the couple is both employed, due to the multiple dependants and clearing of their personal debts and bank loans, they are unable to purchase and install the basic household appliance and furnishings which have caused a lot of inconvenience and raised safety concerns for the children. They will appreciate donations for these items/furnishings.

A transnational single mother recently moved into her first home in Singapore with her 2 young children (aged 2 and 5 years old), a rental flat in Serangoon, after living in a shelter for three years. She is currently unemployed and reliant on SSO assistance to meet her children's basic needs while waiting for her PLOC to be approved, which makes it difficult for her to afford a heater on her own. She hopes to provide warm water for her two children to ensure greater comfort and wellbeing for them during bath time.
